Essentials

  • Strength in the storm

Sometimes the miracle isn’t that the storm ends – but the fact that you are still standing in the storm.

Before we dive in, take a moment…

How are you doing today – really?

In the past few months, I’ve spoken with people who are walking through situations that feel like crashing waves: grief, burnout, major transitions, or simply the quiet overwhelm of doing life every day.

    And maybe that’s you, too.

    So, pause.

    Take a breath.

Let yourself feel what you’re feeling.

Here is the truth I have had to hold onto in my own storms:

God is faithful – even when the miracle doesn’t look the way we hoped.

Sometimes it’s not the winds stopping. It’s the way God strengthens you to keep moving anyway.

“For the Lord is good; His love lasts forever, and His faithfulness continues through all generations.” – Psalm 100:5

That verse became my anchor. It reminded me that God doesn’t walk away when things get hard. He sees you. He stays close. And He shows up –though not always how we expect.

So if you’re facing something heavy, know this:

    • You’re not alone.
    • God’s love hasn’t wavered.
    • You are held.

Leave a comment or drop me a message: What are you trusting God for this week?

Let’s carry each other through with hope, honesty, and faith.

And if this spoke to you, pass it on. Someone else might be riding out a storm – and your words could help them hold on.

  • 🌟 Why I pay myself first – with wisdom, not just wealth 🌟

“Making use of the mornings is like paying yourself first – in wisdom, productivity and clarity.”

This quote has anchored my thoughts this week as I reflect on the power of intentional mornings. I am often described as a morning person, but for me, it’s more than habit – it’s a personal investment strategy.

I recently read Miracle Morning Millionaires, by Hal Elrod and David Osborn, a recommendation from my wealth and financial coach, Sola Adesakin CPA, FCA, FCCA, MBA, CFEI and it affirmed what I have practiced for years: mornings aren’t just a launchpad for success, they are a sacred space to sow into my life.

    ✨ My morning wealth ritual

Before emails, meetings, or obligations knock on my door, I open the door to myself – spiritually, mentally, and physically. My morning routine isn’t just a checklist; it’s a covenant of alignment:

🙏 I pray – centering my spirit and inviting divine guidance for the day.

📓 I journal – releasing thoughts and reflecting on gratitude .

📖 I study the Bible – drawing wisdom and truth into my daily decisions.

📚 I read for at least an hour – feeding my mind with new insights and perspectives.

💬 I declare affirmations – reinforcing identity, intention, and hope.

🎯 I review my goals and targets – keeping them alive and visible, refusing to let them become background noise.

🧘🏽‍♀️ I exercise – honouring my body as a vessel of strength.

🔊 I “push play” – listening to faith-building or motivational messages that sharpen my belief and fuel momentum.

Each morning is a deposit into my spiritual account. The return? Clarity, courage, creativity – and compound interest in consistency.

    🧠 Relatable moments…

This practice helped me navigate seasons of grief with grace, pivot through financial surprises with calm, and lead with purpose through life’s complexities. Whether it’s recording a Monday Motivation video, launching accountability coaching services, or just making a tough budget decision, that morning investment gives me what money can’t: peace before performance.

If you are in leadership, building your brand, or simply seeking balance – mornings can be your private boardroom, gym, sanctuary and vision studio.

📣 Your turn: How will you invest in your morning?

I invite you to create your own “morning wealth ritual.” Start small: one prayer, one page, one push of play.

Prioritise pouring into yourself before the world makes a withdrawal. Your future self will thank you – and so will your purpose.

If this resonated with you, share your own morning habits or tag someone who inspires you to start strong each day. Let’s build a movement of early risers investing in legacy.

  • You Can’t Achieve Success Without Consistency

We live in a world that glorifies quick wins and overnight success. But the truth? Real, lasting success isn’t built on flashes of brilliance – it’s built on what you do when no one’s watching. It’s in the early mornings when you choose prayer over pressure, when you write the vision down again even after the first draft didn’t gain traction, when you keep posting encouragement even when engagement is low. That’s where success begins – quietly, faithfully, consistently.

I have learned this first-hand. Whether I’m showing up as a mentor, creating content that lifts others, or preparing a word in season for my community, the power is not in perfection – it’s in persistence. Every quote written, every video recorded, every prayer whispered over a project… it adds up. That’s consistency.

And here’s the beautiful thing: consistency isn’t glamorous, but it is transformational. It’s the bridge between calling and fulfillment, between a vision and its manifestation. You don’t need to be perfect – you just need to be present, again and again.

So, if you’re feeling weary in well-doing, I want to encourage you: keep going. The seeds you’re sowing now in faithfulness will bloom in due season. Success is already unfolding because you’ve chosen to keep showing up.

  • The Power of Choice in Hard Times

Life is full of challenges. Some are small, others feel huge. But every challenge comes with a choice: Will you let it define you, break you, or push you forward?

It’s easy to feel stuck when things get tough. Problems can make us doubt ourselves and feel powerless. But remember – challenges don’t decide who you are. Your response does.

    Choose to Be Strong

Being strong doesn’t mean ignoring pain. It means deciding to keep going, even when things are hard. When life tests you, remind yourself: You are tougher than this moment. Strength grows when we refuse to give up.

    Choose to Learn

Hard times can teach us important lessons. They help us grow, rethink our approach, and find new ways to succeed. Every struggle is an opportunity to gain wisdom and improve.

    Choose to Have Purpose

Challenges can lead us to something greater. They shape our story, push us to help others, and show us what truly matters. When we see struggles as stepping stones, they stop feeling like roadblocks.

So today, whatever you’re facing, ask yourself: Will this moment define me, break me, or push me forward?

Choose to be strong. Choose to learn. Choose to have purpose.

You are capable of more than you know. Keep going – your victory is coming.

  • The Power of Persistence: My Three-Year Journey to Oxford University

Good morning and welcome to June 2025!

For over three years, I held onto a vision – completing the Oxford University Women’s Leadership Program. It wasn’t just a goal; it was a deep-seated desire for growth, development, and leadership excellence.

However, timing and priorities matter. Organisational KPIs and business needs must align with development opportunities, and in the first two years, this particular program wasn’t the right fit.

But personal growth is not dependent on a single path. Instead of waiting, I took action.

📅 2023: I proposed the Oxford program, but it didn’t align with company priorities at the time. I sought alternatives, completing a leadership course on Udemy to keep my skills sharp.

📅 2024: The vision stayed in my vision book, in my prayers, and before my eyes. The program still wasn’t a fit, so I pursued another leadership course online and kept moving forward.

✨ See a man diligent in his work? He will stand before kings, not mere men. – Proverbs 22:29

📅 2025: I put the program forward once more – and this time, it was approved! 💃💃💃

🌟 The Journey Wasn’t Meant to Be Walked Alone 🌟

While I had spent years preparing, nothing could have fully anticipated the intensity of the program. It challenged my thinking, tested my endurance, and pushed me beyond my comfort zone.

💡 Success isn’t just about personal determination – it’s about the strength of the people who walk alongside you.

I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support of my colleagues, Line Manager, COO, and mentor – leaders who encouraged me, provided guidance, and helped me navigate this journey.

I also had the support of my children at home, whose love and patience carried me through the busiest days.

Inside the program, I was surrounded by an incredible network of tutors and course mates, who enriched the experience, fostered collaboration, and reminded me that leadership is as much about supporting others as personal success.

✏️ Lessons Learned from the Journey

✅ Faith is preparation – Keep developing yourself while you wait.

✅ Persistence pays off – Growth happens when you stay committed to the vision.

✅ Great leadership creates great leaders – Supportive leadership makes all the difference.

✅ Success is never a solo journey – The right support system transforms challenges into stepping stones.

💪 For Anyone Feeling Overwhelmed Right Now 💪

💡 “You don’t have to see the whole staircase – just take the first step.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    One step at a time.
    One goal at a time.
Keep adjusting, adapting, and moving forward.

  • The Small Steps That Unlock More

What if where you are now isn’t your place of rest?

Last week, I shared a quote that has been resonating deeply with me: Until you master how to handle more, you won’t be entrusted with more.

This simple yet profound truth is a reminder for us all. Often, we dream of bigger opportunities, greater responsibilities, and larger blessings. But the question we need to ask ourselves is, are we prepared to handle them? Growth doesn’t come from wishing for more – it comes from proving that we’re ready for it.

Life is like a garden. Before planting seeds, we must cultivate the soil and make it ready to nurture growth. The same applies to the opportunities we desire. When we take the time to master what’s already in front of us – our daily habits, our current responsibilities, our attitudes toward challenges – we create a foundation strong enough to support more.

I’ve learned that it’s not about perfection, but about consistency and commitment. Whether it’s managing time better, staying disciplined, or embracing patience, every step forward equips us to handle greater things with grace and purpose.

So today, let’s focus on mastering what we have. Let’s lean into the tasks, lessons, and opportunities that are already here. As we grow stronger and wiser, we’ll find ourselves ready – and entrusted – to take on more than we ever thought possible.

Maybe you’re in a season where you feel the same pull. Maybe comfort has kept you where you are, but deep down, you know it’s time for more. Growth isn’t found in staying still – it’s found in stepping forward, even when the path isn’t fully clear.

Today, I encourage you: What’s one small step you can take? It doesn’t have to be big – it just has to be forward.

💬 Share in the comments—what’s your next step toward growth?

  • The Courage to Try

I’ve been thinking a lot about a quote that truly speaks to me: “He who fears to try will never know what he could have done.” It’s a truth that has shaped my own journey, and I hope it inspires you too.

There were times in my life when fear held me back. I would think, What if I fail? What if I’m not good enough? But over time, I learned something important: staying in my comfort zone didn’t bring me closer to the dreams I held in my heart. If anything, it kept me stuck, wondering what could have been.

Taking the first step is always the hardest. Whether it’s starting a new project, pursuing a goal, or simply saying yes to an opportunity, trying can feel scary. But I realised that every attempt, even if it didn’t go perfectly, was a step toward growth. I discovered strengths I didn’t know I had and lessons that shaped me into who I am today.

Maybe you’ve been holding back on something because of fear – fear of failing, fear of the unknown, or fear of what others might think. I want to encourage you to take that leap. You might stumble along the way, but you’ll never know the amazing things you can do until you try.

Life isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being brave enough to step forward and embrace the possibilities. So let’s not let fear steal the chance to discover what we’re truly capable of.

Together, let’s take that leap and see where it leads.

The future is waiting – let’s step forward together.

  • Small Steps, Big Changes: The Daily Habit That Transforms Your Life

It’s easy to dream big and set ambitious goals for our personal growth, career, or spiritual journey. But too often, we get stuck in the quicksand of good intentions, waiting for the “perfect” moment to act. Here’s the hard truth: intentions alone don’t create progress – action does.

The beauty of taking a single small step every day is that it creates momentum. It transforms our goals from distant possibilities into tangible realities, one choice at a time. Want to improve your fitness? Start with a ten-minute walk. Hoping to reconnect with a loved one? Write that quick “thinking of you” message today. Want to write your first book? Write that first page. These little actions may seem insignificant in the moment, but strung together over time, they carve the path to success.

Without action, even the clearest vision can fade into stagnation. The opportunities we let pass today may not be waiting tomorrow. Each tiny step forward pushes us closer to our potential – and it’s in the daily discipline of action that we find growth, fulfilment, and change.

So here’s your challenge: What’s one small step you can take today, right now, to move closer to your dreams?

Don’t wait for perfection; just start.

Take that step – and then another tomorrow.

Before you know it, you’ll look back and see just how far you’ve come.

The journey is worth it. Let’s go!

  • The Gift of midwives – Delivering destiny

This morning, as I lingered in prayer, I found myself calling God by one of His beautiful names: Baby Giver. Initially, I prayed for those longing for the blessing of children, but then the Holy Spirit nudged me gently, reminding me – I am pregnant. Not with a physical child, but with something extraordinary: destiny, purpose, and the plans and thoughts of God concerning my life.

In that moment of reflection, the name Baby Giver resonated deeply within me. It speaks of a God who doesn’t just place dreams or visions within us – He entrusts us with His plans, His “babies,” if you will. The baby has already been given. Yet, as with any pregnancy, we cannot deliver alone. Midwives are essential, present to help us bring forth the life and legacy we’ve been entrusted with.

    Midwives: Who are they?

Midwives are those who support, guide, and encourage us in our most vulnerable and crucial moments. They cheer us on when we falter, hold us steady when we feel weak, and remind us to push when giving up seems tempting. Midwives come in many forms: mentors, family, friends, even divine connections at just the right time. They share in the labour of love, ensuring that what God has placed inside of us comes to fruition.

    Identifying your midwives

Who are the midwives in your life? They may be individuals who have spoken life into your dreams, offered wisdom, or stood alongside you in prayer. Often, they are the quiet encouragers, the ones who see your potential even when you don’t and believe in the beauty of what you’re carrying.

Take a moment to reflect and identify these people. Perhaps God has placed someone in your path today to remind you that you’re not alone in your labour. Recognising your midwives is vital, as it’s a step toward gratitude and growth.

    A season of thanks

Today, I want to honour and thank the midwives in my life—those who have helped me push through fear, doubt, and uncertainty. You’ve been the hands and voices that reminded me to keep going when the weight of my “pregnancy” felt overwhelming. You are my gifts from God, sent to ensure that the destiny I carry comes into the world safely.

    Encouragement for others

To anyone reading this, know that you, too, have midwives. Open your heart to recognize them and allow their support to propel you forward. And remember, you may also be a midwife for someone else—don’t underestimate the power of your encouragement, prayers, or presence in someone else’s journey.

Together, we labour, push, and deliver the extraordinary plans God has placed within us. Let’s move forward with gratitude for those who journey alongside us, and courage to embrace the destiny we’re meant to birth.

  • Fuel for the soul

How reflection and accountability ignite the fire within.

Last week Thursday was one of those packed days—back-to-back meetings that seemed endless. By the time work was done, all I wanted to do was sink into my duvet and let the world fade away. But I had a commitment to keep—my monthly catchup with my accountability partner. And despite the fatigue, I knew it was worth showing up. Why? Because this meeting wasn’t just another chat—it was the spark I needed to set the pace for April 2025.

Accountability isn’t a chore or a checkbox; it’s a gift we give ourselves. Once a week, we connect over the phone. Once a month, we meet in person—sharing a light meal, a few drinks, and deeper conversations about our goals, visions, and progress. It’s not just about what’s next; it’s about celebrating how far we’ve already come and learning from the journey so far.

Last Thursday was no different. As we reflected on the highs and lows of the first quarter, we listened, encouraged, and motivated each other. We celebrated our wins, learned from our losses, and set clear plans for the month ahead. I left that meeting energised—like the weight of the day had melted away, replaced with clarity and excitement.

When I got home, my mind was alive with ideas. New video scripts, fresh articles, and even key points for my next book started to take shape in my head. It felt like the fire in my soul had been reignited, reminding me why I do what I do as an accountability coach and mentor.

Here’s the truth: No matter how tired or busy you are, investing in accountability and reflection is never wasted. These moments of pause and connection are where growth happens. It’s where we reignite our passion, realign with our purpose, and find the courage to keep moving forward.

As April unfolds, I’m ready to take on what’s next with renewed energy and a clear vision. How about you? Who holds you accountable, and how often do you pause to reflect?
