  • Faith in Motion: Leading with Every Gift God Gave Me

Movement has become more than a fitness habit – it is a daily act of worship. A declaration of gratitude to the One who gave me breath. I don’t ask my body if it feels like moving. I tell it, “We are up. We are going. We’ve got purpose to fulfil today.”

As an Expert leader in my field, Accountability Coach, Mentor and Author, I have come to see that every skill, every talent, every ounce of energy is a seed to be planted. And I am committed to sowing it well.

Each year, I have had the privilege of leading the “Fitness for All” session at our church’s Family Fun Day. It’s just 15 minutes – but it’s packed with joy, skipping ropes, gospel beats, and laughter. This isn’t just exercise. It’s ministry. It’s community. It’s a living example that faith can move us – literally 😊.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be called upon to use my love for movement as a blessing to others. That love wasn’t born in ease – it was forged in grief.

Over six years ago, after the loss of my husband, movement became one of the tools God used to lift me out of a deep funk. It helped me breathe again. It helped me hope again. It helped me live again.

I share more of that journey in my book Anchored on the Faithfulness of God – a testimony of healing, resilience, and divine restoration.

Why do I show up with energy, creativity, and a speaker blasting gospel beats? Because I believe in trading with the talents I have been given. Just like the servant in Matthew 25 who doubled what his master gave him, I want to return everything God placed in me, with interest.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – the words I live to hear someday.

This is what I call dying empty. Leaving nothing buried. Using everything… my voice, my faith, my creativity, my legs – to bless others, build legacy, and reflect the joy of living on purpose.

So whether you’re a runner, dancer, writer, teacher, or just discovering your gifts, don’t hold back. Trade with what you’ve got. Move with purpose. Die empty.

And above all, move your body in whatever way you see fit. You were created to move. Whether it’s a walk, a stretch, a dance, or a joyful jump, let it be an act of gratitude.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit…? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

“Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.” – Romans 12:1

How are you using your gifts to move with purpose?
Let’s encourage one another to live fully, lead boldly, and die empty.

  • Empowering Through Mentorship: Fostering Growth in 2025

As I embark on the journey of 2025, the idea of mentorship has taken on a new significance for me. This year, I have decided to take on a mentoring course and extend my mentorship to new individuals. It feels like the perfect opportunity to give back and invest in the growth and development of those around me.

Mentorship, for me, is not just about sharing knowledge, it’s about creating a culture of continuous learning, empowerment, and collaboration. I believe that by becoming a mentor, I can help guide others through their professional journeys, offering support as they overcome challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

I have been fortunate to be mentored by an incredible Woman in Leadership (in my career), whose guidance has profoundly impacted my career and personal growth. Her mentorship has taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, empathy, and strategic thinking. The insights and support I have gained from her have inspired me to pay it forward and become a mentor myself.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of mentoring many young people based on my own experiences. This has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. However, I have set a goal to get formally trained as a mentor. I believe that this will enhance my ability to support and guide others even more effectively.

Mentoring others is deeply fulfilling and benefits both the mentor and the mentees. It allows me to create a supportive environment where individuals can thrive and innovation can flourish.

As a mentor, I get the chance to inspire, motivate, and lead by example. By sharing my experiences, providing guidance, and offering constructive feedback, I hope to contribute to the personal and professional growth of my mentees.

This journey of mentorship would not only strengthen the bonds within my department but also enhance the overall success of the team. I am excited to embrace this opportunity to make a lasting impact and nurture the next generation of leaders.

If you’re passionate about personal growth and empowering others, consider becoming a mentor too. Whether you start by sharing your own experiences or seek formal training, your contribution can make a world of difference.

Let’s work together to create a culture of continuous learning and support. Are you ready to take the next step in your mentorship journey? Join me in making 2025 a year of growth and empowerment.
